When should I convert TIFF to JPG?
JPG works well for photographs and broad compatibility. It uses lossy compression, so fine text and sharp edges may look softer. Transparent areas become white.
What happens to a TIFF with several pages?
The converter uses the first image in the TIFF and reports when more images are present. It does not turn a multi-page TIFF into several output files.
Does this keep all the original information?
