When should I convert HEIC to JPG?
JPG works well for photographs and broad compatibility. It uses lossy compression, so fine text and sharp edges may look softer. Transparent areas become white.
Why can the first HEIC conversion take longer?
The tool loads an extra decoder to open the HEIC photo. Keep the page open while it loads, then check the colours and orientation in the preview.
Does this keep all the original information?
The output saves the visible picture. Camera metadata, colour profiles or animation may not carry over. Keep your original if you need those details.
